Toilet Repair & Clogged Toilets in Las Vegas

A clogged or running toilet is one of the most common plumbing calls there is. We clear clogs, fix running and leaking toilets, and install new ones across the Las Vegas Valley.

Call (725) 350-7071 any time, day or night, or use the form below.

Clogged toilets

If a plunger doesn't clear it, the clog may be deeper in the line. If other drains are also slow or gurgling, it may be the main sewer line; see drain and sewer cleaning. Don't keep flushing a clogged toilet.

Running toilets

A toilet that keeps running or refills on its own usually has a worn flapper or fill valve. Hard Las Vegas water wears these parts out faster. It's a small repair that stops a lot of wasted water.

Leaks at the base

Water around the base usually means a failed wax ring or a loose flange. Left alone, it can damage the subfloor. We pull the toilet, replace the seal and reset it properly.

Toilet installation

We remove the old toilet, check the flange and shutoff valve, install the new one with new seals and a new supply line, and haul the old one away.

Toilet problems we see most in the valley

Weak flush from mineral-clogged rim jets

The small holes under the toilet rim and the siphon jet at the bottom of the bowl collect white scale from hard Las Vegas water. As they close up, the flush gets lazy and the bowl doesn't clear on the first try. Cleaning the jets often brings back a strong flush without replacing anything, and it is worth trying before buying a new toilet.

Toilet that rocks or shifts when you sit

A wobble means the toilet isn't seated tightly on the flange, and every movement stresses the wax seal underneath. Tightening the bolts may help briefly, but if the seal has already broken, water can seep into the subfloor or under tile. We pull the toilet, check the flange, add shims where the floor is uneven and reset it.

Clog that keeps coming back in the same bathroom

One toilet that clogs often, while the rest of the house drains fine, may have a partial obstruction lodged in the trapway, such as a toy or a hard object. Low-flow toilets with narrow trapways also struggle. If more than one fixture backs up, read about main line clogs before plunging harder.

Choosing a replacement toilet

Bowl height, round versus elongated shape and rough-in distance from the wall all matter. Most homes have a 12-inch rough-in, but older houses sometimes differ, so measure before you buy. We can also replace a worn shutoff valve and supply line at the same visit, which is smart since those parts age along with the toilet. See fixture installs too.

Common questions

Why does my toilet keep running?

Usually a worn flapper or fill valve. Both are inexpensive parts and a quick repair.

Is a clogged toilet an emergency?

If it's your only toilet or water is backing up elsewhere, yes. We're available 24/7.
