Air Duct Cleaning & Duct Repair in Las Vegas

In most Las Vegas homes, the ductwork runs through an attic that gets far hotter than it is outside. Leaky, crushed or dirty ducts waste cooling before it ever reaches your rooms. We clean, repair and install ductwork across the valley.

Duct and vent cleaning

Desert dust, construction debris and pet hair build up inside return and supply ducts over time. Cleaning makes sense after a remodel, when you move into a home, if you see dust blowing from vents, or if there's visible buildup inside the ducts and on the blower.

Duct repair

Common problems include disconnected or collapsed flex duct, torn insulation, gaps at the boots and plenum, and ducts crushed by stored items or foot traffic in the attic. Signs include rooms that won't cool, weak airflow from certain vents, and a system that runs constantly.

New ductwork and vents

We install new ducts and vents for additions and remodels, replace aging duct runs, and add returns or supplies to fix rooms that have never been comfortable.

Why it matters in Las Vegas

  • Cool air leaking into a very hot attic is energy you pay for and never feel
  • A leaky return can pull hot, dusty attic air into the system
  • Poor airflow makes the AC work harder and can freeze the coil

Ductwork problems in Las Vegas attics

Flex duct that sags or kinks in summer heat

Most valley homes use flexible duct with a plastic jacket. Over years in a very hot attic, the jacket gets brittle, straps loosen and runs sag or kink. A sag acts like a dam for airflow and a kink can cut a room's supply drastically. Re-supporting or replacing the run often fixes a room that has never felt right.

Rodents and pests in ductwork

Rodents and birds sometimes get into attics and chew duct insulation or nest near vents. Signs include odors from vents, debris blowing out, or a sudden drop in airflow to one room. We inspect the affected runs and replace damaged sections. Sealing the entry point is a separate job, but the ductwork has to be fixed too.

Return air sizing for comfort

Many homes have only one central return, which struggles to pull enough air from closed bedrooms. Rooms with the door shut get stuffy and the system works harder. Adding a return, or a jumper duct between a bedroom and the hallway, can fix that. Filters at the return also matter; see how often to change your filter.

Sealing duct joints at the plenum

The plenum is where the main supply trunk connects to the air handler, and gaps there leak a lot of air. Mastic sealant and foil tape rated for ducts close those gaps better than standard cloth tape, which dries out quickly in attic heat. Leaky ducts make an AC replacement perform worse than it should.

Common questions

How often should ducts be cleaned?

There's no fixed schedule. Cleaning makes sense after construction, when there's visible buildup, or if dust keeps blowing from the vents.

Why is one room always hotter than the rest?

Often it's a duct issue: a disconnected or crushed run, a long duct to a sunny room, or not enough return air. We can inspect and fix it.

Do you install ductwork for additions?

Yes. We design and install new duct runs and vents for additions and remodels.
